(Alton, IL | May 21, 2026) C. E. Mahoney will begin resurfacing Fosterburg Road on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. As a result, Fosterburg Rd will be impacted @ IL-255, Tuesday, May 26, 2026 through Friday, June 5, 2026 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Work is expected to last two weeks.

PURPOSE OF CLOSURE:
MAHONEY – Street Repair (resurfacing)
Drivers are urged to reduce speed, remain alert for changing conditions, plan accordingly, adjust your route as needed, avoid distractions while traveling near the work zone, obey all construction signage and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone. As always, motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during these restrictions/closures.
Flaggers will be present; on-site to direct traffic. Residents will have access to their homes. Thru-traffic is encouraged to avoid this area whenever possible and use alternate routes. Detour signs will be in place and signs posted prior to traffic pattern changes on side streets.
Please be patient and use caution!! DO NOT attempt to move or drive around the traffic control barricades; violators may be cited and prosecuted. Everyone involved with the construction of this important project thanks you for your continued cooperation!
