RISK MANAGEMENT
The City of Alton, along with many other municipalities, is a member of the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA). The IMLRMA is responsible for the administration of liability claims related to the City.
In the event a member of the public feels they have suffered any loss or injury due to the responsibility of the City, they should contact Lori Bockholdt, the City’s Risk Manager, at 618.463.3545.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE INFORMATION
The City of Alton has developed insurance requirements in order to protect the municipality from suffering a financial loss that is not directly under its control. The Risk Manager receives and approves the Certificates of Insurance required by the City, per the following minimum requirements:
A Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Alton, Illinois, additional insured on the entity’s general liability policy as respects the event/activities/operations held by the entity on behalf or on the premises/property of the municipality shall be issued to the City. The entity shall also provide liquor liability coverage that names the City of Alton, Illinois as an additional insured if liquor is to be served. These coverages must be shown on a Certificate of Insurance provided to the City, per these minimum requirements.

The certificate must show insurance coverages that meet the established minimum insurance requirements, as follows:
