The City of Alton is now accepting applications for the 2026 Youth Employment Program — a 6-week summer work opportunity for local teens! 💼
📍 Program Details:
▪ Ages 16–19
▪ Alton residents only
▪ Must meet low-to-moderate household income guidelines
▪ $16.00 per hour
▪ 32 hours per week
▪ Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
📄 The following must be submitted to the Civil Service Office by 5:00 PM on May 29, 2026:

2️⃣ Madison County Community Development Income Verification
3️⃣ Documentation of Income

Applications and documents can be emailed to hr@cityofaltonil.gov or delivered to City Hall
This program gives young residents the chance to gain valuable work experience, build job skills, and earn money during the summer months.
Funding for the Youth Employment Program is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
